Hey, Neighbor!

This is a quick guide about your hood. While we love to encourage a good “night in,” we also want to help you explore the amazing community around you. Curated by our team, this guide is full of recommendations of the best spots to eat, drink and hang out around town.

Get out there! Be sure to use #mynicheisyourniche while you’re out and about! We love featuring and gifting goodies to our Niches. ;)

Piccolo's Italian Restaurant

915 West Ave NW

This family-owned business started in Chicago in 1977. When the owner moved to Lenoir in 2001, he brought 30 years of pizza-making experience with him, and he still sources the meats for his Chicago-style and wood-fired pizzas from the Windy City. Oh, and they make their own dough and sauces in-house EVERY. DAY.

Liquid Roots Brewing Project

1048 Harper Ave

Accozy brewery vibe with 16 taps of in-house brews and ciders and punches way above its weight. Enjoy the local charm indoors or on the patio, with kid and dog-friendly spaces. Try the Shiver Me Timbers IPA or a garden-fresh Bloody Mary. The perfect casual hangout spot with beer that might just blow your mind.

The Shake-N-Dog

209 Main St NW

The quintessential old-school hot dog joint. Order a classic hot dog with mustard and a hand-mixed milkshake, OR try something a little more creative. Our favs are the Memphis with bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese and the Jamaican with mayo, jerk sauce, lettuce, mango, lettuce, and jalapenos. And don’t miss $1 Dog Tuesdays!

1841 Café

117 Main St NW

Your date night go-to. Named for the year that Caldwell County was established, this restaurant is filled with antiques and local art and serves up juicy burgers, slow-cooked BBQ, steaks, and more. Don’t forget a slice of homemade coconut cream pie for dessert. (Or an entire pie. We’re not here to judge.)

Fercott Fermentables

107 Main St. NW

This cozy taproom and bottle shop offers wine, beer, cider, mead, and hard seltzer — plus specialty cheese boards. The boast, wait for it — 150+ craft beers, 100+ fine wines, and 70+ ciders. Unwind with a drink and order something from the rotating small plate menu. The vibe is comfortable, relaxed, and laid-back perfection.

Tybrisa Books

210 Main St NW

The quaintest independent bookstore you’ll ever see, with an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every book in the store is only $1. ONE DOLLAR. Locals adore the ambiance, affordability, and floor-to-ceiling shelves filled with books in every genre.

Downtown Lenoir Social District

Possibly the coolest thing about living in Lenoir. Social districts are areas where people can walk with open, to-go containers of alcoholic beverages in a contiguous area. The Downtown Lenoir Social District will allow alcoholic beverages to be consumed within district boundaries Wednesday – Saturday, 12pm – 10pm. Learn more about the district boundaries and participating vendors at downtownlenoirnc.com/social-district.
